Bani Hill Band, the stars of Georgia and the entire Caucasus, returns to Lithuania this July with positive energy and new songs. Young, enthusiastic and musically impeccable Bani Hill Band is a real delicacy for your ears and eyes - definitely worth repeating.
The seven men of the Bani Hill Band attract attention with their stunning vocals, impeccable instrumentation and original arrangements. Everyone sings – Georgia’s unique polyphonic singing is recognized as a UNESCO masterpiece of world polyphony, formed over centuries and passed down from generation to generation. Together, they perform songs from various corners of the homeland and music of other Caucasian nations, uniting the entire Caucasian culture.
Each member of the band stands out in his own abilities - keyboard player Besik has one of the best opera bass voices in all of Georgia, and accordionist Beso mastered his instrument himself - every year he makes a Kartvelian accordion. The main soloist of the group, Mate, enchants not only with his voice, but also with his wonderful smile. The full sound of the Bani Hill Band is created with the Georgian symbol - a three-string panduri, an accordion, a frame drum and keyboards, which together with bass guitar and drums provides to their music modern strength. Traditional panduri is a living heritage, without which the country's traditions are unimaginable. Widespread throughout all Georgia, traditionally played by both women and men, the panduri has always been a symbol of positive emotions, without which no celebration is complete, and if an accident befell the family, the panduri was hidden.
Bani Hill Band is very popular and has successfully performed on big stages in South Korea, India, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Finland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine. After Lithuania they will head to perform at the "Viljandi" festival in Estonia.
Bani Hill Band will warm up Dani Lança (Portugal/Spain)
Barcelona-based Portuguese artist Dani Lança has been active in the street and underground music movement of this emblematic city for the past 25 years. A direct representative of Manu Chao's rumba style and his fellow for more than a decade, in 2024 Dani presents his new collection of original songs in Castilian (Spanish), Portuguese and English in a solo format. We will hear works that reflect the multicultural diversity and energy of the Catalan metropolis. It will be a dynamic performance designed to move and dance to the rhythms and melodies of Barcelona Rumba, Afro and Latin. A solo concert with guitar, voice and sampler, inspired by the people of Barcelona and their stories.
Dani Lança has independently released eight albums, shared the stage with internationally recognized artists including Alpha Blondie, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and others.
